Demonstrate understanding of a range of concepts and empirical evidence in developmental, individual differences, and social psychology with reference to historical and contemporary perspectives.

Critically discuss key stages in developmental processes, including the development of cognitive, emotional and social skills through the life span

Critically discuss social influences on individual differences and group behaviours
Module Content
Outline Syllabus:The following topics will also be covered during the course.
Developmental Topics: Infancy, Cognitive development: communication, Cognitive development: reading, Intelligence, Self and identity, Developmental disorders, Adolescence, Adulthood.
Individual Difference and Social Topics: Close relationships, Social Constructionism, Group processes and intergroup relations, Prejudice & discrimination: Attitudes and attitude change, Personality: Models, methods and applications, Intelligence: Measurement and applications, Subjective Wellbeing, Gender: Commonalities and differences.
