Aims
1. To introduce students to historiographical debates in a range of different national, social, cultural and political contexts.
2. To equip students with analytical skills that allow them to understand and contextualize historiographical arguments.
3. To equip students with the interpretative skills necessary to write about historical case studies in a coherent, articulate, and informed manner.

Module Content
Outline Syllabus:This course introduces students to key historiographical debates and then relates these to specific examples, for example race, class, gender, revolution, etc. Students will examine the different ways in which historians think and write about the past, and how the writing of history has been shaped and informed by political, economic, social, and cultural developments.
