Aims
To understand and deconstruct the logistical and creative processes involved in producing a short form fiction.
To collaborate effectively in a student production team working towards a collective goal.
To gain relevant technical and creative skills necessary for the production of a fictional work.
Module Content
Outline Syllabus:Fiction script development, formatting, and adaptation.
Acquiring and working with actors throughout pre - production and production.
Creative practical and visual research
Planning and logistics for drama production
Acquiring and applying the technical skills necessary for drama production
Editorial reasoning and reflection.
Module Overview:
In this module students work in teams to produce a short film drama following a series of lectures, master classes, workshops and tutorials. Pre-production, casting, rehearsals, research, filming and editing will be undertaken as independent study. You will choose either the Moving Image or Audio output in the first session, then be grouped accordingly.
