Module Content
Outline Syllabus:Understanding the principles of short filmmaking in terms of technical skill and project management.
Developing relevant materials such as scripts, storyboards, and production schedules in preparation for the production of a coherent short film.
Applying knowledge of lighting, cinematography, sound recording, sound design, and editing.
Module Overview:
Through practice-based learning, you will learn to plan, manage and produce a short film and develop the technical skills associated with filmmaking.

Additional Information:Knowledge of working with film equipment and editing software as acquired in Filmmaking A, B, and Experimental Filmmaking are compulsory. Each group will plan, shoot, and edit a 5-minute short film. The midterm submission (Assignment 1) aids to stimulate reflection on creative and organisational choices for Assignment 2.
Production groups are free to decide whether to make a documentary, fiction, or experimental film.
