1. To introduce students to theories about narrative. 2. To equip students with the knowledge to understand how narratives are constructed. 3. To provide students with the critical skills and language to discuss narrative.

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:Lectures will present theories about narrative covering such topics as: History of narrative Metaphor Semiotics Narrative structure Narrative perspective Character Time Moving image narrative .
Additional Information:This module introduces students to theories of narrative and provides a critical language with which to dissect and discuss a broad range of narrative experiences. This will allow students to appreciate how stories are told across diverse media platforms.
