Aims

In this module you will employ a number of practitioner techniques, consolidated in an abridged classical naturalistic workshop production presentation. You will support and chart your development of an Independent Methodology in an analytical journal.

Learning Outcomes

Apply psychological, physical and vocal techniques to interpret extant works in the formation of a rehearsal methodology

Recognise and develop collaborative, symbiotic working relationships, demonstrating stagecraft

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:You will apply learned techniques from Acting I, Voice and Movement, including practitioner approaches, in a directed workshop presentation of a classical naturalistic play. In addition, you are expected to engage with narrative, psycho-physical realisation of character, contextual research and analysis. You will evidence and critique your developing methodology in an analytical journal. The stages of this module are: • Rehearsal: contextual research & analysis; engagement & application of rehearsal techniques • Workshop presentation • Analytical journal In addition, the introduction of Screen Acting enables the development of naturalistic acting styles to be applied in differing contexts and platforms.
