Aims
The aim of this module is to teach the students the history of international corporation and relations and how the legacy of international corporation has paved the way towards international integration that we are experiencing today.
Learning Outcomes

Identify and describe the different eras of international corporation and relation.

Analyse the transformation international relations across different eras and events.

Identify a range of approaches that empires and states have adopted in history

Outline Syllabus:1. International relationships in the ancient world: Evolution of human social organization, ancient civilizations and their relations, Diplomacy in ancient empires
2. Medieval Period and International Relationships: Religion and Conflict in Europe, Era of zones of cultural expansion (500-1500 AD), Chinese civilization, Indian Civilization, Roman Civilization, Islamic Civilization Asia From 500-1500 AD, –Westphalian peace and aftermath: Thirty Years war, Emergence of nation states, Power, politics and dominance among nation states
3. International Relations in Colonial Era: Resource wars, Tributary states, Colonial world, cultures and orientalism, emergence of postcolonial states
4. International Relations in Peril: World War I, World War II, Cold War
5. Efforts for Post World War Stability: Successes and Failures, League of Nations, United Nations
