To introduce students to the legal systems of England and of the EU and to provide a foundation of knowledge of the substantive laws of negligence and contract

The European Union and the EU Institutions
EU legal sources: treaties, regulations and directives
EU law: legal principles, freedom of movement
Negligence - duty of care, breach, loss, defences
Contract - Formation: agreement, intent, capacity, and privity
Contract - Terms & representations, conditions, warranties, breach
Contract – Discharge: by performance, by frustration Agency and bailment
