Aims
To provide opportunities for students to study these aspects of education theory and relate this to a workplace setting, thus assisting them to develop as reflective practitioners and develop their knowledge of key concepts and theoretical frameworks.
To encourage students to develop awareness of research, policy and practice in relation to transition and resilience theory.
Learning Outcomes

Discuss theory in relation to professional practice.

Identify appropriate techniques for information selection and personal research.

Review and discuss the research literature available relating to the topic.
4.
Reflect on policies pertinent to their institution and role and consider these in relation to the wider context of education policy.
Module Content
Outline Syllabus:This module provides students with an opportunity to consider research in relation to their professional practice. Through lectures on the topic and individual tutorials, students are supported in completing an assignment related to a specific professional practice issue which is interrogated within the research and theoretical framework of the student's institutional context.
