To explore the aetiology of a variety of common conditions, injuries and illnesses, form a diagnosis and provide correct treatment.

Outline Syllabus:Aetiology across the age ranges Basic Life Support across the age ranges Clinical features of common conditions & illnesses (minor injuries) Acute Coronary Syndrome (12 lead ECG) Palliative and end of life care Medical terminology Scientific units of measurement in healthcare Forming a diagnosis & treatment Differential diagnosis Legal and ethical issues Scene safety & forensic awareness Capacity to consent Core drugs & patient group directions Triage assessment tools Care pathways Evidence based practice
Module Overview:
This module provides you with a theoretical base to understand the aetiology of a variety of common conditions and illnesses across all age ranges.
Additional Information:This course provides a theoretical base for the students' to understand the aetiology of a variety of common conditions and illnesses across all age ranges. Developing the ability to; deferentially and specifically diagnose an array of conditions and provide correct treatment. The module is year long and links to the two practice modules in terms of supporting educational material.
