To enable students to explore the relationship between academic skills and

Module Content
Outline Syllabus:The themes within the syllabus will support the student to explore and develop skills for Higher Education and will enable the development of key skills related to studying, researching and producing work at undergraduate level.
Themes and topics will be taught using a variety of scenarios grounded within a broad health and social care context, in order to allow students to develop their learning.
Topics will include:
Effective group/team work
Effective group learning
Group theory
Communication skills
Introduction to critical thinking/enquiry
Introduction to research
Academic skills
