Aims

The module aims to foster a broad understanding of a range of performance-related subjects including style, interpretation, improvisation, harmonising, rehearsal and stagecraft. The module is designed to provide students with a range of rehearsal and performance opportunities in which to develop their practical musical skills. The module also aims to develop general performance skills (i.e., teamwork, collaboration, giving and receiving direction), and strengthens complementary rhythmic, vocal and instrumental performance skills.

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:The module provides a range of rehearsal and performance opportunities in which to apply and consolidate core music skills; developing preparation and presentation skills appropriate to musical performance. Various genres of music, stylistic awareness, improvisation, and interpretation
