Aims

1. To analyse and observe reality and be able to interpret it with a level of accuracy and fluency on to a 2D surface. 2. To continue to develop the core elements of drawing, such as: perspective, spaces and proportion. 3. To encourage the exploration of various media. 4. To develop different drawing techniques 5. To produce finished work and evaluation

Learning Outcomes

Develop ideas and drawing techniques alongside specific materials and drawing media.

Acquire a higher level of skill when applying techniques to provide work that is more personal and allow individual interpretation

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:1. Creative drawings of a human body. 2. Various still life observations. 3. Colour Theory 4. Perspective drawing. Spaces: positive and negative 5. Self-portraits. 6. Interiors, landscapes, environment, abstract 7. Presentation and Evaluation
Additional Information:This module enables students to practice drawing skills in various media and how to move between their eye, hand and mind. It encourages drawing with accuracy, more refined and able to apply skills in different settings, and facilitates students' flexibility, confidence and sophistication with drawing.
