Aims

- Develop the practical skills of students by applying what they learn across the rest of their academic programme. - Provide an experience of planning, execution and report writing, as well as activities aimed at developing problem solving skills. - Embed the study skills which are required for students to become effective and independent learners.

Module Content

Outline Syllabus:Time management Personal development planning: employability skills, course specific technical skills. Communication-theory and practice. Presentations, report writing, questionnaires and surveys. Stages in problem solving. Theory and experience of team work. Professional ethics. Research methods and referencing. Throughout the module, IT skills underpin the other parts of the syllabus.
